This is an unnamed
arch over an unnamed, 150' dry waterfall in
an unnamed drainage near Lake Powell.
There was a bit of graffiti under the arch
going back to 1940, but otherwise not much
sign of people.
The stream above the waterfall was a series
of delightful potholes ranging in size from
dishpan to 12-person Jacuzzi. Tempting though
it is to jump in, we were mindful of the extreme
delicacy of life in this normally dry world
and the dependancy of that life on unpolluted
water. We confined our activities to a sponge
bath in a small dishpan-sized pothole that
would have evaporated within a day.
