Petroglyphs are peckings into the rock
and are more durable than pictographs painted on the
surface of the rock. However, even under protective
overhangs, these creations are gradually destroyed
by the weather.
This panel is on a steep ledge about 15 feet up a
vertical wall. When the light changed, it was totally
invisible from the ground.
